Yes hair breakage persists in the patch when you have head wash.

The reason behind is that washing with fingers is not allowed so you need the hair brush to comb it and spread the shampoo or treatment all over the patch. When you brush on the hair patch then the knotted hair become weak and weak and after few months hair start to fall out. There is filling process in some patches again.
